One Concern: Yours
Without exception, pest control is a primary concern for every healthcare facility, from the suburban doctor’s office to the high trafficked hospital of the inner-city.
As such, it helps forms the foundation of your facility’s overall sanitation plan. By choosing Viking as your pest control partner, you are placing trust in the pest control leader among healthcare facilities.
Our objective is simple: to protect not only your environment, and facility, but most importantly, your patients, residents, and staff. Our Pest Management System ensures Consistency, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Effectiveness: in short: CARE.
Viking’s IPM strategy follows a time-tested routine focused almost entirely on prevention. We begin with a detailed report of the exterior and interior of your facility. Our licensed & certified technicians look for points of penetration, locations for feeding and breeding and other concerns. This proactive approach should succeed in minimizing the chance of pest sightings within your facility.
With Viking, you have an accountability partner in pest control. Our goal is complete cooperation, direct communication, and transparent documentation. Armed various license and permits required ensures your facilities comply with all standards and regulations set forth by your governing agencies.
Some healthcare facilities are open 24/7, and so are we. Our emergency service means immediate contact with you, and commencement of corrective actions within 4 hours of emergency calls. Our technicians work quickly to assess the situation and apply the appropriate deterrent or control. Some non-intrusive, low toxicity IPM methods include baits, insect growth regulators (IGRs) and registered boric acid formulations. Once applied, Viking’s follow-up service continues until the problem is resolved.
Certified IPM Technician Training: Professional Health Care IPM technicians are specifically trained in pest management for health care facilities. Completion of extensive training unique to hospitals ensures that Viking’s Health Care IPM technicians possess the expertise to serve your particular needs. And it doesn’t end there. With a continuing education platform at their disposal, our techs — as well as our in-house entomologists — Viking stays current with the latest available scientific and technical information.
Finally, we believe that the most effective and cost-efficient pest management program requires the full cooperation of all staff. All appropriate personnel must have an understanding of the pest management program objectives. To accomplish this, “integral” personnel need to be trained in the basic principles of pest management, pest biology, and sanitation. We also encourage the use of a “Pest Sighting Memo,” to maintain a level of communication that prevents a simple sighting to an actual infestation. All this will be the focus of our initial training session, which will occur with your facility personnel at each location upon program implementation.
