Through sensitivity, humor, and understanding from Viking management, the transition was easier than I had anticipated. They were supportive and recognized the value I brought to the team. I work in Core as an Escalation Specialist. It is my job to make sure our customers are happy. My supervisor is supportive, motivating, and ensures we have a great work environment.
Training someone from a different company in the same industry can sometimes be challenging. My new team's patience, dedication, and passion reinforced that Viking is the kind of company I want to work for. Now I am responsible for training, and it is rewarding to help new hires acclimate to the company.
Overall, it has been an interesting experience going from a smaller family-owned business to a corporate environment, but I still feel part of a family, just a much larger family!
Besides the wonderful people I have met at Viking, I like the company's philosophy.

When I joined Viking, I was given the opportunity to learn different job functions that I had never had a chance to learn before. I was given a new role, which I love. I can also use my years of experience and make significant contributions to my team. Of all the jobs I have held in my life, working for Viking has been the most enjoyable. I love what am doing and that I get to
meet new people from different areas.
Besides the wonderful people I have met at Viking, from the President to the Service Technicians and the CSR team, I like the company's philosophy. Viking prides itself in providing outstanding customer service and strives to continue this philosophy while experiencing growth. We provide innovative and safe ways to perform pest control. Whether our customer interaction is on the phone or in the field, we treat each home like our own. We provide the clients with customized service because we know that each home is unique. Although we are a larger company and have the benefits of a larger company, we treat our clients personally like a small company would. We live and work in the communities we serve and are our clients' neighbors.
Joining the Viking team has been wonderful. I love the company culture.

Working for a smaller business, we were so busy with our day-to-day tasks we didn't have the time or resources to learn new skills. When the company and Viking merged and I joined the Viking team, I was able to gain new knowledge and skills. Through the acquisition, we widened our customer base and diversified our product offering.
There are many wonderful things about working for Viking. I love the company culture and enjoy working with everyone. We have a relaxed yet productive atmosphere. Joining the Viking team allowed me to contribute my skills and knowledge to a rapidly growing industry. I am able to work remotely, allowing me the time to focus on my family while still being able to provide for them. It has been very rewarding to be a part of a forward-thinking, supportive company that realizes its employees are their greatest asset.
